Before the new additions and alterations, this bungalow was well loved but in need of attention. The main goal of the project was to enhance what was already there. It was about introducing ‘contemporary, light, clean and timeless’ spaces, while ’highlighting all that makes a bungalow’. The altered interiors work with the existing building and the new outdoor living space. By re-configuring the walls and incorporating the joinery to the periphery, the living, kitchen and dining room connects seamlessly to the rear garden. Located in the suburban streets of Concord, Sydney, from the outside the House Cassius maintains its bungalow charms, but now, with all the satisfactions of a contemporary home.
